He’s a legendary part of Disney history. From Han Solo to Indiana Jones, Harrison Ford has been the face of many characters and stories from The Walt Disney Company and remains a massive part of our experience in the theme parks. He is the man I most associate with adventure when it comes to media. Even now, at the age of 82, this charming Hollywood heavyweight is still kicking goals, appearing in the upcoming Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World. The new movie is set to arrive in theatres on February 14th after a delayed release. Watch the official trailer that dropped recently now:
In any case, whether he represents your favorite adventurer or a smuggler from a galaxy far, far away, there is no denying the impact Harrison Ford has had on the modern-day Disneyverse. In this new Spring 2025 issue of Disney Twenty-Three, Ford takes time to sit with D23 to talk about his work and the experience of making the new film.
“The work that an actor, frankly, gets credit for is the work of many people who have come before him and laid in the groundwork for him to walk. The George Lucases, the Steven Spielbergs, the Kevin Feiges in my life are really responsible for the opportunities that I’ve had,” Ford says. “Their passion for the ideas they’re working with and their commitment to the craft and to the quality and integrity of their work has been fundamental to the success of my career. You don’t do this alone. You stand on the shoulders of many people.
