Hey friends, I’ve been diving into the latest updates from Cotino, and I have to say, it’s all looking pretty impressive. This Storyliving by Disney concept keeps evolving, and the newest additions are giving it even more depth, especially when it comes to lifestyle and wellbeing.
One of the standout updates is a new health and wellness focus woven into the community, and it’s not your typical gym-and-go setup. Over at the Artisan Club, there’s now a suite of Disney-inspired fitness experiences that lean into storytelling in a really clever way. These sessions have been shaped with input from Walt Disney Imagineering and brought to life alongside Optum, blending movement with imagination. Instead of feeling like another routine to tick off, each class is designed to draw on familiar characters and stories, encouraging members to explore strength, balance, and mindfulness in a way that sounds a little more engaging and, honestly, a lot more fun. You can read more about them here.
All of this got me thinking. Would I actually want to live in a Disney community if the circumstances lined up?

It’s funny, because my answer has changed more times than I can count. Living on the other side of the world, here in Sydney, the idea initially felt like a dream. Being close to the magic, surrounded by that familiar Disney energy every day? It sounded perfect. Then came a more practical phase, appreciating the design, the planning, the lifestyle offering, but also wondering if something might be lost by turning a ‘special occasion’ into an everyday normal.
And now? I think I’ve swung back again. The amenities, the shared spaces, the sense of community, it’s all incredibly appealing. Sign me up for that Moana breathwork experience by the water, I’m in! There’s something about the way it’s being built that feels thoughtful rather than overdone, and I can’t help but wish there was one quietly launching somewhere a little closer to home.
As more details of these Storyliving communities start to take shape, I’m really curious where everyone else lands on this. If the budget wasn’t a factor, would you want to live in a Disney-inspired community? Or is the magic better kept as something you visit, rather than something you live in every day?
