2016 Holiday Happenings at the Swan and Dolphin – Santa’s Favorite Resort! santa-9-22

Are you and your family visiting Walt Disney World for the holidays? Guests at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort can participate in some festive activities to make their visit even more special.

Meet Santa, Mrs. Claus and Kandy Kane the elf – Get your photos taken with these visitors from the North Pole who will all be dressed in their tropical vacation clothes! Santa and his family will greet guests from 6:15-8pm in his customized tiki hut, featuring reindeer, palm trees and flamingos.

Dancing Lights Show – Check out the causeway at night and see the palm trees light up to the music of your favorite holiday songs.

Life-size Chocolate Santa Scene – A 2,000 pound chocolate Santa scene will be on display in the Swan’s lobby, created by the hotel’s award-winning executive pastry chef Laurent Branlard.  If anyone were to eat all this chocolate, it would add up to 3 million calories.

Bedtime Elf Tuck-ins – Only available on December 24, an elf will come to your room with milk, cookies, a stuffed toy, a magic key for Santa, and a storybook and read the kids a bedtime story before tucking them in to await a visit from Santa. This does require a reservation; call 407-934-4241 for reservations and more info.

Magic Keys for Santa – Are your kids wondering how Santa will be able to get into their hotel rooms without a chimney? Hang a magical key outside the door, just for Santa. Pick up the key at the Concierge desk.

Tree-Lighting Ceremony – Mrs. Claus will choose one family to help in the tree lighting ceremony in the Dolphin lobby, then everyone is invited to the causeway to see Santa.

Holiday Entertainment – Throughout the holiday season, guests will be entertained by carolers, choirs and musicians in the hotel lobbies, the causeway and other public hotel areas. Free holiday-themed movies will be available on the guest room TVs and on select nights, on a big screen on the beach. Children will have the opportunity to decorate treats in the lobby.

Children’s New Year’s Eve Party – Just for kids ages 4-12, this New Year’s party will take place from 6pm-1am at Camp Dolphin. Party includes party hats, noise-makers, balloon drop, dinner, and more. Call 407-934-4241 for information or to make reservations.
