Earlier this month, a possible computer glitch was noticed on Walt Disney World’s dining website. It appeared that Chef Mickey’s, Akershus, and Tusker House were all listed as two-credit meals instead of one-credit. The change was not confirmed by Disney, so many thought that it may be a computer glitch and we were actually getting a glimpse of what was to come for the Dining Plans in 2017.
The brochures for 2017’s Disney Dining Plans made their way online yesterday and it appears that listing these three meals as two-credits may really have been just an accident. With the exception of Cinderella’s Royal Table, all character meals are listed as one-credit meals. Another listing of note is that Tiffins at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is not listed as a Signature Restaurant, even though the location was initially advertised as such.
There will still be changes to the Dining Plan information, as more partner restaurants will be added as we get closer to 2017, so it is a possibility that there could still be changes to the number of credits needed for each meal.
Pricing has not yet been released for the 2017 Disney Dining Plans, but should be soon, as 2017 packages can be booked as of Tuesday, June 21. Contact Dreams Unlimited Travel for a no-obligation quote.
