The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays begins this Friday, November 29th. Last week, we were invited by Disney to a media preview event where we were given a peek at all things merchandise coming to this year’s festival.
A couple of merchandise “firsts” are coming to this year’s Festival of the Holidays: a spirit jersey and a MagicBand. The spirit jersey and MagicBand are themed for the very first time specifically for the Festival of the Holidays, and both feature the lovable Chip and Dale.
The spirit jersey is a deep blue, and showcases Chip and Dale wearing Santa hats. Festive Christmas tree lights are strung across the bottom half of the spirit jersey, and “I’m Nuts about the Holidays” is written across the top. What makes the spirit jersey extra special is that Chip and Dale’s fur is, well, furry. Flocking has been utilized to depict their fuzzy fur, and the fringe on their Santa hats is raised and flecked with glitter. Along with the spirit jersey and MagicBand will be a Christmas tree light bulb purse that also features Chip and Dale.
The Festival of the Holidays MagicBand features Chip and Dale, along with the Christmas tree and ornament motif that you’ll see throughout the festival merchandise offerings. The MagicBand is a limited edition of 2,500, and will sell for $34.99.
This year’s festival long sleeve t-shirt is again hooded, and incorporates ornaments of the different Epcot icons. The World Showcase countries each have an icon highlighted on the shirt, as does Spaceship Earth. The long sleeve t-shirt will be available in small to 2 XL, and will be sold for $36.99.
This year’s annual passholder festival t-shirt features Chip and Dale frolicking around the World Showcase. The t-shirt will be available in sizes up to 3 XL, and is paired with an annual passholder ornament. The ornament features a satin finish on one side, and a shiny Spaceship Earth-like finish, along with the festival logo, on the other.
The Festival of the Holidays annual passholder pin, featuring Mickey and Minnie exchanging gifts, is limited edition of 2,000, and will be available for $16.99.
Goofy and Donald take center stage on the festival’s Disney Vacation Club pin, which will also be limited edition of 2,000 and available for $16.99.
The Festival of the Holidays will also have its own lidded mug. Trimmed in gold with a green background, this mug has a partner mug that’s found in the Magic Kingdom. The Magic Kingdom mug has a red background, and both mugs will be available for $24.99.
Don’t forget that the Festival of the Holidays has its own scavenger hunt: Chip and Dale’s Christmas Tree Spree. This year’s hunt will have you stopping at 11 locations throughout World Showcase as you search for Chip and Dale’s Christmas tree ornaments. The map and stickers (attached to the back of the map) will be available for $6.99, and the Christmas Tree Spree is available to all guests. Guests have the chance to redeem their hunt maps for a prize at either World Traveler or Disney Traders.
The Epcot International Festival of the Holidays will run from November 29th through December 30th, 2019.
