The Disney Parks Blog has released a new set of pictures meant to tell the story of several new Patina Group locations coming soon to Disney Springs at Walt Disney World.
The Edison, whose building once served as the power plant for Disney Springs, is set to become a new hot-spot.
The restaurant will be open to all for lunch and dinner, but after 10:00pm, the venue will only allow guests 21 and up, with special beverages, dining and entertainment…including a rumor of aerialists.
The Edison’s Boiler Bar features “dizzying electrical display panels, and the adjacent boilers, which are still classic centerpieces of any power plant.”
The other three new venues share a building that was once the Disney Springs Air Terminal, but purchased in the 1930s by Italian immigrants Maria and Enzo.
Pizza Ponte will be open for lunch or dinner featuring Sicilian-style pizza by the slice, made-to-order sandwiches, and Italian pastries.
The vaulted ceilings of Maria & Enzo’s feature a large globe chandelier that points out destinations once served by the air terminal.
The main dining room was once the terminal’s departure lounge, while the first-class lounge serves as a more intimate dining room.
Enzo’s Hideaway was a once a secret bootlegger’s hideout that was discovered by Enzo in the 30s. The Disney Springs space was popular for those in-the-know during the prohibition years and the graffiti wall still remains in place from those long-gone days.
The Edison, Pizza Ponte, Maria & Enzo’s, and Enzo’s Hideaway are all set to open by early January.
