Anaheim House of Blues plans move to GardenWalk

The House of Blues, which has been part of the Disneyland Resort’s Downtown Disney District since it opened in 2001, has indicated that it intends to move to a larger space at the Anaheim GardenWalk, with an opening scheduled for next summer.

The UltraLuxe Cinemas is set to move out of their building at the northern end of GardenWalk at the end of August and the House of Blues would take over most of their 40,000 square foot location, a large increase over their current 23,000 restaurant and concert hall.

While construction is expected to start soon, no paperwork has been filed yet with the Anaheim Planning Department.

Disney has no immediate plans to for their current Downtown Disney building.
