Walt Disney World annual passes traditionally were only available for purchase at a ticket booth outside of the theme parks and the Transportation and Ticket Center. To expedite the process Walt Disney World annual passes can now be bought directly through the My Disney Experience App.
Out of State Residents can purchase either the Platinum Plus Pass or the Platinum Pass via the app, and Florida residents can use the app to purchase the Platinum Plus Pass, Platinum Pass, Gold Pass, Silver Pass, Weekday Select Pass, or the Epcot After 4 Pass.
Unfortunately, this new feature doesn’t cut out visiting the ticket booths altogether; in order to activate your annual pass you’ll still need to visit a ticket booth to show an ID, and Florida Residents must show their proof of residency.
