Over the New Year’s holiday, Asian Street Eats opened in Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort, serving a small menu of quick Asian dishes.
The new counter service location from Chef Hung Huynh (Top Chef) is a retrofitted food truck parked in front of the former Rainforest Cafe location at the west end of Downtown Disney.
The menu starts with Mixed Bowls [$7.95-$9.95] topped with grilled chicken, braised beef short rib, or sauteed tofu. The bowls include royal purple rice or mixed greens, fire-roasted corn, cabbage, cucumbers, pickled carrots, caramelized onions, and choice of sauce: miso honey, teriyaki, spicy teriyaki, sriracha aioli, sesame citrus soy, and spicy avocado.
The same proteins can also be found in a Scallion Pancake Wrap [$7.95-$9.95], stuffed with cabbage, caramelized onions, pickled carrots, cucumbers, cilantro, hoisin sauce, and sriracha aioli.
Finally the menu features both chicken or vegetable Pot Stickers [$7.95], served with ginger soy sauce.
Younger guests can choose a kid sized portion of Mixed Bowl [$6.95] or Pot Stickers [$5.95].
