SeaWorld Orlando’s “Bands, Brew and BBQ” event returns, taking place every weekend in March. The event starts at 11:30 each day and the concerts are at 4:00pm. Guests will enjoy concerts by rock and country artists, while sampling from craft beers and local Orlando barbecue.
Country artist Toby Keith will perform on Saturday, March 7 and Lynrd Skynrd will perform Sunday, March 8.
The event is partnering with USO of Central Florida and military discounts will be available for active military and veterans. Roland Emerson, executive director of USO Central Florida said, “We’re thrilled to partner with SeaWorld, and we appreciated their longstanding dedication to honoring the troops and retirees. Working together during Bands, Brew & BBQ, we can make a difference in the spirits of many service members and their families.”
Last year’s event suffered because of cancellations by many of the scheduled performers. They said that performing at SeaWorld would mean they were supporting the “park’s policies and treatment of killer whales.” SeaWorld had to scramble to find acts last minute to fill the emptied slots.
The event is included in the price of admission, but a front row seating package or floor seating package can be purchased as well.
