The Walt Disney Company has officially announced that Pandora: The World of AVATAR will officially open at Disney’s Animal Kingdom theme park in Orlando, Florida on May 27, 2017! This long-awaited news was announced during Disney’s first quarterly earnings call for the fiscal year 2017.
Guests can look forward to seeing floating mountains, bioluminescent plants, and joining the Na’vi on two brand new attractions that will be located in this new land. The Na’vi River Journey will take guests through the bioluminescent rainforest and will finish up by having a remarkable encounter with a Na’vi Shaman, “a figure who has a deep connection to the life force of Pandora.” Avatar Flight of Passage will give guests the extraordinary experience of wandering through the world of Pandora atop a Banshee.
A brand new dining location, Satu’li Canteen, is also going to be opening. Guests will be able to enjoy a drink at Pongu Pongu or shop in the land’s new store for Na’vi cultural items, toys, science kits, and more at Windtraders.
