Briefing Schedule Set in CFTOD’s Motion to Dismiss Disney Lawsuit

In April of this year, Walt Disney Parks and Resorts U.S. Inc. filed a Federal lawsuit against Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, the Secretary of the Department of Economic Opportunity, members of the Board of Supervisors for the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD), and the Administrator of CFTOD. Disney has amended its filing twice, with the second amended complaint filed on September 7, 2023.

The newest filing in the case, dated September 14, 2023, states that “all defendants intend to move to dismiss the second amended complaint” and that “the parties jointly request that the Court set the following briefing schedule for those motions.”
