Lunar New Year celebrations begin soon at Disney Parks around the world, including at Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort. Since it’s the Year of the Mouse (or the Rat), Disney has put some of your favorite rodents front and center on merchandise that celebrates the holiday.
At Walt Disney World, visit the China Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase where you’ll find spirit jerseys, t-shirts, Minnie ear headbands, and Mickey and Minnie Plush. You’ll also find a selection of that merchandise at shopDisney.com.
To make the celebration even more special, candy artist Wenbo Zhang will be creating sugar paintings, a traditional process using sugar syrup to paint pictures of animals. Zhang will be around the China pavilion through February 24th.
At the Disneyland Resort, head to Disney California Adventure for their Lunar New Year celebration. In addition to several marketplaces featuring Asian cuisine, you’ll be able to find a selection of Lunar New Year merchandise.
We’ve already shown you the spirit jersey, ears, and pin, but also check out the hat that celebrates the Longevity Noodle Co., one of this year’s marketplaces.
Seaside Souvenirs and Elias & Co. will be the place to find those items, along with mugs, bobble-heads, key chains, and more.
The Lunar New Year Celebration at California Adventure runs January 17th through February 9th.
