Guests at the Disneyland Resort are getting excited as the Main Street Electrical Parade is about to return to its original home at Disneyland park. The parade is set to make its debut on January 20, 2017.
This beloved parade traveled down Main Street, U.S.A. at Disneyland park from 1972-1996 then returned in 2001 as Disney’s Electrical Parade for its run at Disney California Adventure park. We’ve just learned that the parade’s original opening float, Casey Jr., will be returning and will pull the giant drum behind it that will once again read, “Disneyland Presents … Main Street Electrical Parade” in bright lights. I love hearing that the float has been updated to reflect the parade’s original title and I’m keeping my fingers crossed that the parade will stay put at Disneyland, even past the June 18, 2017 announced encore performance end-date.
