Closing date pushed back for Walt Disney World Speedway

It was announced last month that the Richard Petty Driving Experience and the Exotic Driving Experience at Walt Disney World is closing, but the date has now been pushed back. Instead of late June like previously announced, the last date to book an experience is now August 9.

The day will end with the last ride auctioned off and proceeds given to Give Kids the World.

Disney’s future plans for the site aren’t yet known, though the company did mention “transportation improvements.” Speculation is that a new entrance to the Magic Kingdom may be added.
