D23, the official fan club for The Walt Disney Company, has been hit with layoffs this week, according to an article on Deadline. D23 was founded in 2009 and is predominantly known for its D23 Expo, with the next one coming up in September.
Deadline states that while today’s cuts were in the double-digits, some of their sources indicated that “as much as a quarter of the staff or more was affected amid speculation that the division may be restructured.”
This is the latest in the second round of approximately 4000 layoffs.
