Details released about the new holiday version of World of Color

More details about the upcoming “World of Color – Season of Light” were released on the Disney Parks Blog today. The show will begin November 10 at Disney California Adventure and run through January 8, 2017.

Favorite holiday songs will be the backdrop for this holiday show that brings animated classics to life and showcases the themes of love, home, and family.

The show ushers winter in with the falling of the last autumn leaves as Mickey and his friends are decorating their homes for Christmas. Guests will see Lady and the Tramp, Andy’s family from Toy Story, Stitch, and The Three Caballeros.

In his typical over the top style, Goofy will design a holiday light display that eventually overloads the circuits and leads into “Blue Christmas” by Inside Out’s Sadness.

The grand finale will light up the lagoon “with the light of hope and filling our hearts with the spirit of peace, joy, and goodwill to all.”

Leah grew up in a little farming town in Illinois, right on the Mississippi River. Her Chicago-born husband, David, left the city for her, and they're now raising their three children (Jacob, Jonah and Lydia) just 12 miles from her hometown. As the Senior Editor of the DIS (wdwinfo.com), Leah spends a lot of time writing about, reading about, and discussing Disney. So, it should come as no surprise that one of her family's favorite ways to spend time is going to Walt Disney World and traveling on Disney Cruise Line. She also enjoys shopping, watching movies with her husband and doing crafts with and for her kids.
