The Golden Globes announced on December 10, 2015 that Disney’s Inside Out and Disney/Pixar’s The Good Dinosaur were both nominated for Best Animated Film. The Golden Globe Awards is an annual ceremony that honors the best in the film industry. The awards ceremony will announce the winners from each category January 10, 2016.

Disney/Pixar has had recent success winning the Best Animated Film category at the Golden Globes, winning 7 of the last 9. Most recently, Disney’s Frozen won the award for the 71st Golden Globe Awards held in 2014. Many of these films go on to win the Academy Awards later in the year.
