Disney resorts installing high-tech laundry facilities

The Walt Disney World resorts have installed high-tech washers and dryers. Guests will be able to check a website to find out if there are open machines in the laundry facilities, as well as receive a notice when one becomes free and when a laundry cycle has finished. Cycles in these machines are shorter than the old machines, and also hold larger items than in the past.

Credit and debit cards can be used for transactions. There are a few coin machines left in some of the facilities at the All-Star Resorts, Art of Animation, Caribbean Beach, Coronado Springs, Fort Wilderness, Grand Floridian, Polynesian and Pop Century.

The changeover will be complete in early May.
