Disney shared a look this afternoon at some of the safety measures and protocols that will be in place tomorrow, May 20th, when it reopens to the public. WESH TV reporter, Amanda Dukes, was at Disney Springs today covering some of the new safety measures.
We are at Disney Springs and checking out their plans for reopening tomorrow. There will be 4 entrances, several of them are from parking garages, and guests temperatures will be checked. You must test under 100.4 pic.twitter.com/AQbutdtAT2— Amanda Dukes (@AmandaDukesWESH) May 19, 2020
Guests visiting Disney Springs will have four entrances to choose from: the Orange and Lime garages, the rideshare drop off location, and the Hotel Plaza Boulevard pedestrian bridge. Prior to admittance, guests will undergo a no-touch temperature check, and as the sandwich board sign states at the checkpoint, guests must have a face covering and adhere to physical distancing guidelines. The new Covid-19 disclaimer is also displayed on a sandwich board sign at the checkpoint.

New ground markings to help ensure that guests follow physical distancing regulations, similar to those utilized at Shanghai Disneyland, will be in place at Disney Springs. In the video above, the Walt Disney World ambassadors demonstrate how guests will be asked to stand in between the markings when waiting in a line.

Hand washing stations, similar to those seen in the parks before the temporary closure, will be located throughout Disney Springs.
When you enter @DisneySprings, after your temperature has been checked and they have made sure that you are wearing a face mask, you come down an escalator to be greeted by Disney cast members who display the parks’ signature enthusiasm. As reported earlier this afternoon, Resort Children’s Activities cast members will be on hand at the reopening to bring a bit of pixie dust to guests in attendance, as well as to assist with the new safety measures.
