With construction in full swing at Disney’s Riviera Resort, the Disney Parks Blog has shared even more information about the European-inspired pools and walkways coming to the Disney Vacation Club property.
A quick look at the pools was included in one of the recent renderings, but now even more information is available.
The feature pool will be the relaxing Riviera Pool, with lounge chairs, colorful umbrellas, and, for the more adventurous, a stone turret slide.
Nearby, S’il Vous Play, an interactive water play area, will keep younger guests cool. The area is inspired by the grand fountains of Europe and features several characters from Fantasia.
While the splashing will please the kids, the patina and limestone-inspired design will have grown-ups feeling like they’re in a “place where visitors might have gathered to share a memory or a wish along the European Riviera.”
Close by is a movie lawn which will show favorite Disney films. Guests can lounge in the grass or watch from the pool.
For an even more relaxing experience, guests can visit the Beau Soleil leisure pool. The semi-private pool, surrounded by lush greenery, will have you feeling like you’ve been transported to the European coast.
Nearby, Bar Riva will be serving cold beverages with poolside views. Look for crisp white tiles and cool blue accents in this open-air bar.
To continue the theme, the waterfront walkways of the resort will over lush landscaping and European-inspired views.
From there, a tunnel archway with a sparkling water feature leads to the Disney Skyliner station where guests can connect to Epcot’s International Gateway and on to several other locations in Walt Disney World.
Disney’s Riviera Resort is set to open this fall!
