Disney Vacation Club has reportedly confirmed that work is indeed underway at what was initially announced as Reflections: A Lakeside Lodge. The new resort is set to open in 2027 as Disney Lakeshore Lodge; this project has sparked years of speculation and is now progressing with active construction.
DVC describes the resort as “inspired by the grandeur of nature and its lasting impact on Disney artists.”
The renderings you see below are from the resort’s original announcement, but it hasn’t been confirmed if the same theming will be present in the resort’s new vision. We’re hoping to hear an official announcement soon as the restaurant inspired by The Princess and the Frog would be a great addition, and we’d love to see the Bambi, Brother Bear, The Fox and the Hound, and Pocahontas room themes that were announced.
