Disney World to hire additional personnel to replace private security

When metal detectors were put into place at Walt Disney World parks about a month ago, they were operated by a private security firm.  WFTV has discovered that Disney is now hiring and training new security Cast Members to replace the private firm, which will give them more control over background checks and how the system itself operates.

Disney has said that it will replace the non-Disney Cast Members with newly trained Disney security beginning at Animal Kingdom.
