Disneyland Cancels Their 2020 Candlelight Processional

The Disneyland Resort has confirmed that this year’s Candlelight Processional will not take place. The invitation-only event typically takes place the first weekend of December in Town Square at Disneyland Park.

With still no guidelines from the state on when theme parks can reopen, Disneyland was unable to begin the lengthy planning process for the event. Officials expressed their disappointment that guests, Cast Members, and local choirs would not be able to gather for the traditional event.

Each year, Candlelight Processional clogs Main Street and Town Square as a full orchestra and 600-member choir tell the story of the first Christmas, with the Main Street train station as their backdrop.
