Christmas at the Disneyland Resort

November 9, 2018 - January 6, 2019

Celebrate the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. From mid-November through the beginning of January, the Disneyland Resort in Southern California transforms into a Christmas wonderland with special parades, shows and entertainment that are sure to make this a memorable holiday season for your entire family.

2018 Handmade Candy Cane Schedule

Each year the candy makers at the Disneyland Resort spend several days during the holiday season making handmade candy canes. Guests wishing to purchase candy canes should line up prior to park open, then head to the candy shop that will be making them on that particular day. Wristbands will be distrbuted amounting to about 40 wristbands per batch, or a total of 120 per day. The wristbands allow guests to purchase one candy cane. Guests can pick up their candy cane anytime after their scheduled batch, but before 4:00pm. Candy canes will be made at the following locations:

Candy Palace (Disneyland): November 23, 26, 28, 30, December 3, 5, 7, 10, 12, 14, 17, 19, 21, 24

Trolley Treats (California Adventure): November 24, 27, 29, December 1, 4, 6, 8, 11, 13, 15, 18, 20, 22, 25

Disneyland Park
One of this season's highlights is "A Christmas Fantasy" parade, complete with tin soldiers, snowflakes and your favorite Disney characters. Later in the evening is the Believe...in Holiday Magic fireworks.

Other favorite traditions at Disneyland Park are the 60-foot Christmas tree located in Town Square and the festive decorations throughout the park.

Join ‘Jack Skellington’ and his friends for a look at what happens when Halloween and Christmas collide in this spectacular transformation of ‘The Haunted Mansion’. The mansion has been taken over by the characters from Tim Burton’s ‘The Nightmare Before Christmas’ in this annual Disneyland tradition. “Sandy Claws,” a.k.a. Jack Skellington himself, welcomes guests to enter. Once inside, you will discover the mansion decorated for a "Scary Christmas" and fun for the entire family.

‘it’s a small world holiday’

Decorated with 300,000 dazzling lights especially for the holidays, this popular Disneyland attraction transforms into an international celebration of Christmas. Join in as ‘Jingle Bells’ is performed in many languages.

Jingle Cruise

2018 UPDATE

After being missing in 2017, Jingle Cruise is not on the schedule for 2018.

In this seasonal storyline of the Jungle Cruise, the Skippers have grown homesick for the holidays, so they’ve added holiday cheer to the queue and boathouse with decorations that have been mailed to them from home (plus a few they’ve created themselves). The Skippers have also added a slew of new jokes to their tours that are the perfect way to get guests in the holiday spirit. Additionally, Jungle Cruise boats have been renamed with the holidays in mind, and if guests listen carefully, they may hear a holiday-themed radio broadcast playing in the background.

‘A Christmas Fantasy Parade’

Join Mickey and the Disneyland Characters for a celebration of Christmas along Main Street USA. This parade is a yearly tradition, delighting guests of all ages as they enjoy the antics of Disney characters dancing alongside gingerbread men, snowflakes, and other Christmas characters.

Disneyland's "Candlelight Processional"
December 1 - 2, 2018

This Disneyland holiday tradition takes place on Main Street U.S.A. and features a full Orchestra, Christmas Tree Chorus performing renditions of traditional Christmas songs and a retelling of the Christmas Story by a celebrity narrator.

After a walk through the Park from It's a Small World, the 600-member choir gathers in front of the Main Street train station, where an orchestra awaits and herald trumpeters stand ready at the top of the train station. The narrator then tells the story of the first Christmas with a musical backdrop provided by the orchestra, choir, herald trumpeters, bell ringers, and soloists.

The Holiday Time at Disneyland Tour

Guests are treated to an exclusive tour of Disneyland Park all decked out for the "Merriest Christmas on Earth". Tour includes exclusive collectible items, priority boarding on special holiday themed attractions and VIP seating for Disney's "A Christmas Fantasy" parade.

For the holidays, Mater's Junkyard Jamboree becomes Mater's Jingle Jamboree and Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters turns into Luigi's Joy to the Whirl, featuring holiday tunes to keep things festive.

World of Color - Season of Light

With unexpected repairs delaying the return of World of Color, it is unlikely that World of Color-Season of Light will be presented for the 2018 holiday season.

World of Color - Season light takes guests through a sparkling winter fantasy and includes classic Disney songs and characters.

The show ushers winter in with the falling of the last autumn leaves as Mickey and his friends are decorating their homes for Christmas.  Guests see Lady and the Tramp, Andy's family from Toy Story, Stitch, and The Three Caballeros.

In his typical over-the-top style, Goofy designs a holiday light display that overloads the circuits and leads into "Blue Christmas" by Inside Out's Sadness.

The grand finale lights up the lagoon with the spirit of peace, joy, and goodwill.
