Recently, both Tangaroa Terrace and Trader Sam’s Enchanted Tiki Bar at the Disneyland Hotel updated their food menus, replacing several of the items that have been favorites since the locations opened. The popular flatbreads and kalua-pork sandwich are now gone, in favor of pot stickers and an island hot dog.
The menu for Tangaroa Terrace now includes many of the appetizer items that were previously only available at Trader Sam’s, including the Panko-crusted Chinese Long Beans [$9.00], the Sweet and Spicy Asian Wings [$12.00], and the Pu Pu Platter [$17.00].
Also new at Tangaroa is the Island-style Hot Dog [$12.00], which is a ground pork and pineapple sausage in a pretzel bun, with whole-grain mustard, onion sauce, pickled carrots and daikon, all topped with Fresno chiles, and served with a side of fries or fruit.
For something lighter, try the new Rongo Salad [$11.00] with a blend of shredded green papaya, fresh lettuce, marinated tofu, cucumber, goose berries, rice noodles, and carrots, all tossed in a sesame-ginger vinaigrette.
On the breakfast menu, the steel-cut oatmeal has been replaced by Chia Seed Breakfast Pudding [$7.00], with coconut milk, yogurt, mandarin oranges, and fresh pineapple, topped with toasted almonds.
Both locations now feature Pork Gyoza [$10.00], which are steamed pork and vegetable pot stickers, served with ponzu sauce. The pot stickers are also now included in the Pu Pu Platter.
Trader Sam’s has also added the Island-style Hot Dog, Rongo Salad, and the Tangaroa Salad With Chopped Chicken [$11.00] or Shrimp [$13.00] to their menu.
