Three Walt Disney Imagineers recently hosted a panel of 25-prominent female journalists from the Online News Association’s Women’s Leadership Accelerator Program. The panel took place at the Walt Disney Imagineering Campus in Glendale, California.
The panel was moderated by Disneyland Public Relations Director Michele Himmelberg and included Charita Carter, Jeanette Lomboy, and Robin Reardon. Charita Carter is a producer who is currently working on the new technology and design behind Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Jeanette Lomboy is the Regional Executive for Walt Disney Imagineering Pacific, and her resume includes several beloved projects like Aulani, a Disney Resort & Spa and Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Robin Reardon is an Executive Creative Producer, and she is working on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at both Disneyland Park and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
During the panel, leaders described why the Imagineering team is different compared other theme park designers. The Imagineers stated their passion for their work, a can-do attitude, and their numerous resources at Walt Disney Imagineering make the difference.
