Disneyland has started moving away from its 70th Anniversary look, with new character banners appearing along the Disneyland Resort tram route just two days before the celebration ended.
Guests spotted the new banners on August 7, 2026, replacing the 70th Anniversary banners that lined the tram route throughout the celebration.
The timing stands out because Disneyland continued its 70th Anniversary celebration through August 9. The resort therefore introduced the new designs while guests still had two days to enjoy the anniversary festivities.
New Character Banners Arrive Along the Tram Route
The new banners showcase Disney characters and give the tram route a more classic Disneyland appearance. The colorful designs replace the 70th Anniversary artwork that previously greeted guests along the route.
Guests can see the new banners as they travel between the Mickey & Friends parking structure and the Disneyland Resort entrance. For many visitors, the tram ride provides their first glimpse of Disneyland after parking, making the route an important part of the arrival experience.
The character-focused designs also bring a fresh look to the area as Disneyland moves beyond its 70th Anniversary celebration.
