The deadly wildfires in Southern California have destroyed hundreds of homes and burned thousands of acres. With beloved actors like Dick Van Dyke and Mark Hamill being forced out of their homes due to the intensity of the Pacific Palisades fire, its proximity to Los Angeles is concerning.
Earlier on Wednesday, Universal Studios Hollywood closed its theme park and CityWalk.
Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk will be closed today as a result of the extreme winds and fire conditions. We will continue to assess the situation and expect to open for business tomorrow. The safety of our team members and our guests is our top priority.
Reports like the one below say the winds could reach up to 100 mph tonight, causing further panic in the LA area with folks abandoning their vehicles.
