UPDATE: January 2nd 5:15 pm – Although originally published as news, due to credibility issues with the information’s source, we are classifying this as an unconfirmed rumor. The story will be updated if a confirmation is released or additional details become apparent.
In the next few weeks, guests staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will be able to access their room handsfree.
This comes with the new addition of Bluetooth to MagicBands that will allow guests at these resorts to open their door without tapping their MagicBand. This feature allows guests to simply open their door once their MagicBand is in range of the room.
The Polynesian will introduce Bluetooth first and the Grand Floridian will follow soon after. All the doors inside both resorts are expected to be activated in January.
