Yesterday on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, Ellen herself addressed the closing of Ellen’s Energy Adventure, which was an educational attraction about where energy comes from. The attraction was located in Epcot at Walt Disney World. Ellen’s Energy Adventure featured an audio-animatronic of herself, and now Ellen is calling out Disney asking them to give her the audio-animatronic now that they have no use for it.
Of course, this is Ellen DeGeneres we are talking about so there was certainly a level of sarcasm behind this whole discussion. Ellen even joked that her animatronic looked like it had Luke or Owen Wilson’s haircut.
What Ellen may not be aware of is that that audio-animatronic has been out of commission for a while, and Disney, even if they wanted to, may have nothing to give her.
Disney announced at the D23 Expo earlier this year that Ellen’s Energy Adventure would be replaced by a Guardians of the Galaxy attraction.
