Epcot’s China Pavilion Celebrating China National Day on October 1

October 1 is China National Day, which commences Golden Week, a 7-day national celebration of the founding of the People’s Republic of China. Across the country, China has parades, fireworks, and concerts all in celebration of this holiday.

At Walt Disney World, Epcot is encouraging guests to visit the China Pavilion on October 1 to learn about this Chinese national holiday. We know Epcot has something planned to celebrate, unfortunately, the specific details are vague at this time. All that is definitively known is that during the day guests can “participate in a discovery experience.”
