As Disney says it, they will be making the parks blue this year for Disney+ Day. Here are ways to “plus” your day during this celebration on September 8th, 2022. It’s important to note that Disney+ Day last year was in November, and this year it’s in September.
Mornings at Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort will be “plussed” with early park entry. Disney+ subscribers and their travel party with valid admission and reservations are invited to enter the theme parks 30 minutes before park opening. This is important to know so you can plan accordingly if you are visiting during this time.
Guests staying in select Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and Hotels of the Disneyland Resort will have the opportunity to enter 60 minutes before the park opens on Disney+ Day as long as you have a valid park ticket and a reservation. Unfortunately, they didn’t list the select resorts, but I assume it will be Deluxe Resorts; what do you think?
Over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, to celebrate Disney+ Day, there will be Disney+ character meet-and-greets and cavalcade. There will also be surprises throughout the day. Guests staying at select Walt Disney World Resort hotels can watch a special Disney+ screening at Movie Under the Stars.
Fans are also invited to join the celebration using Disney PhotoPass Lenses for Disney+ Day. Don festive Mickey ears or invite Groot to make a cameo through these limited-time lenses. These are available to those celebrating in the parks or at home in the U.S. through Snapchat and the My Disney Experience app.
For those of you who might be cruising on the Disney Wonder during this time, don’t worry; you will be able to celebrate. During the Aug. 29-Sept. 5 Disney Vacation Club Member Cruise, members aboard the Disney Wonder will be treated to unique gifts from Disney+ and nine exclusive shows and experiences supporting current and upcoming Disney+ programming.
Guests may be asked to provide proof that they are Disney+ subscribers. The proof is to display that you are logged in and show the home screen on the Disney+ app from your phone to enter early and receive special benefits at the parks.
How will you be celebrating Disney+ Day?
Hi, I'm Erica, and I write about all things Disney. Before working for The DIS, I was a theme park performer at SeaWorld, but I also performed at Disney. I have such an immense love for theme parks to the point I studied them in college.
