Disney has just shared the first video look at the upcoming Muppets takeover of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and it’s already giving fans a lot to talk about.
The short preview offers a glimpse inside the new preshow, set in the reimagined G-Force Records, now run by the Muppets. Front and center is Scooter, appearing as a full Audio-Animatronics figure for the first time, alongside the ever-chaotic penguin crew working the sound booth.
This is the first time we’re seeing Scooter as a full Audio-Animatronics figure, and the movement is kind of wild. He doesn’t move like a typical animatronic. It’s looser, quicker, and a little chaotic, which is just perfect for a Muppet.
Disney used motion-capture data from the actual Muppet to build it, and you can tell they were trying to avoid that stiff, robotic feel these things sometimes have.
There’s one moment at the end where Scooter just straight-up faints, and that’s probably what everyone’s going to be talking about. It drops fast and lands in a way that actually makes the joke work instead of feeling forced.
Meanwhile, the penguins are doing their thing too, pushing buttons, running around, adding to the chaos. It looks busy, but that’s the kind of Muppets-style humor we’re all looking for, right?
This whole preshow is a huge part of the larger changeover from the Aerosmith version of the ride to a Muppets theme. Disney hasn’t shown us everything yet, but this, along with everything else that’s already been shared, gives us a pretty good idea of what we can look forward to.

The best news is that we don’t have to wait long. Annual Passholder previews begin May 21, followed by Disney Vacation Club member access on May 24. The attraction will welcome all guests beginning on May 26, 2026.
With the opening right around the corner, this first video look is so exciting for those of us who won’t be there when the attraction opens!
