The flag waving act in Epcot’s Italy Pavilion will no longer be performing. Sbandieratori Di Sansepolcro began performing at Epcot in October 2014, using hand-painted flags, period costumes and live music to entertain the crowd with their choreographed flag-throwing. This kind of flag waving is a 500-year tradition in Italy.
No reason was given for the removal, but in the past couple of years, Epcot has been changing up the entertainment in the pavilions, not keeping many of the acts for very long. A replacement act has not been announced.
