Fox President Dismisses Comcast Bidding Rumors, Calls Them ‘Speculation Palooza’

Despite rumors that Comcast might try and break up the acquisition deal between Disney and 21st Century Fox, it looks like any attempts are likely going nowhere. According to a report by Variety, 21st Century Fox President Peter Rice said the reports that Comcast would break up the deal are “speculation-palooza.” Speaking at Recode’s Code Media event on Monday, Mr. Rice made it clear that Disney was the better partner for 21st Century Fox, and that is why the company decided to go forward with them over Comcast.

It looks like the only shot Comcast has left now is to put in such a gigantic bid that Fox shareholders force a vote to go with Comcast over Disney, but that is extremely unlikely.
