Hallmark and Disney Team Up for New Holiday Movie Filming at Walt Disney World

A new holiday film is on the way, bringing together two brands known for seasonal storytelling. In 2026, Hallmark Channel and Walt Disney World will collaborate for the first time on an original Christmas movie titled Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True. The film will premiere during Hallmark Channel’s 17th annual Countdown to Christmas event and will be shot on location at Walt Disney World in Florida.

The cast includes Lacey Chabert, Travis Van Winkle, Richard Kind, Christy Carlson Romano, Bryce Dufee, Taegen Burns, and Asher Alexander, with Patrick Renna making a cameo appearance. The script is written and directed by Ryan Landels.

Hallmark says the partnership draws from a long history between the two companies. Darren Abbott, Chief Brand Officer at Hallmark, noted that the relationship dates back to the friendship between Walt Disney and Hallmark founder J.C. Hall. Their connection led to the first Disney greeting cards decades ago. Abbott said the new movie brings their shared commitment to heartwarming stories to the screen in a fresh way.

Disney leaders also praised the collaboration. Sally Conner, VP of Global Content, said the project highlights the importance of storytelling across both brands. She added that Walt Disney World offers an ideal setting for a holiday film, as families create their own memories across the parks and resorts each day.

Chabert presented a sneak peek during Hallmark Channel’s The Hallmark Christmas Experience: A Hometown Holiday broadcast, confirming plans to film throughout Walt Disney World. Production updates will be shared as the project moves forward.

In the film, Chabert plays Lindsey, who heads to Walt Disney World with her extended family for Christmas. Her holiday plans take an unexpected turn when she discovers her hotel room is next to Philip, played by Van Winkle, who had been on a disastrous first date. As the two cross paths around the resort, their dynamic begins to shift. A wish made at the Cinderella Fountain may lead to something more as the story unfolds.

The collaboration also includes a co-branded merchandise collection launching next holiday season. Hallmark will release cards, ornaments, gift wrap, and additional items inspired by the film at Hallmark Gold Crown stores, Hallmark.com, and select retailers.

With filming taking place across the resort, Disney fans and Hallmark viewers can expect a festive mix of classic romance and Walt Disney World holiday charm in 2026.
