The Savi’s Workshop page on the official Disneyland Resort website has been updated providing more about the handbuilt lightsaber experience that will be available inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, including the $199.99 price tag.
We already knew that there were four hilt themes available:
- Peach and Justice – Salvaged scraps from fallen Jedi temples and crashed starships in these Republic-era designs honor the galaxy’s former guardians.
- Power and Control – Originally forged by dark side warriors, this style features rumored remnants from the Sith homeworld and abandoned temples.
- Elemental Nature – This theme embodies the Force—an energy created by all living things, like Brylark trees, Cartusion whale bones and Rancor teeth.
- Protection and Defense – Hilt materials bear mysterious motifs and inscriptions that reconnect users with the ancient wellspring of the Force.
Guests will meet one of Savi’s Gatherers, who will help them choose one of the themes and give them a cloisonne pin to identify the selection. The Gatherers will then help guests select the heart of their lightsaber, the kyber crystal, which is available in red, blue, green, or violet.
Guest will then be provided parts for their lightsaber based on their theme. In addition to the 1 hilt, guests will select 2 sleeves (out of 4 options), 1 emitter (out of 2 options), 1 pommel cap (out of 2 options), and 1 set of activation plates and switches (out of 2 options).
Finally, the Gatherers will connect the lightsaber to a 36″ blade and guests will receive a carrying case. The lightsaber can be customized further with items from Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities.
Only the guest and one other person are allowed in the experience area. At least one must be 14 or older. The handbuilt lightsabers are nonrefundable and not eligible for any discounts. The experience is subject to availability and reservations may be required.
Savi’s Workshop inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Park opens May 31st.
