Guests booking a resort stay at Walt Disney World will now receive a MagicBand 2 in the mail prior to arrival. These new versions of the MagicBands arrived in stores in December, but there were only a few specialty bands available.
Through early February, guests who pick up their MagicBands at the front desk at check-in will continue to receive the original MagicBands. After that, MagicBand 2s will be available at resorts as well.
As we mentioned in our article back in December, the MagicBand 2 contains a removable “puck” that can be placed in a variety of “MagicKeepers” for guests who don’t like to wear the bulky bands on their wrists.
If guests opt to customize the color of their bands on MyDisneyExperience, they can select from pink, blue, red, green, orange, gray, yellow, and purple.
