It’s been a long time coming for Disneyland fans. Many of us watched on in envy as our east coast counterparts took advantage of the convenience provided by the Magicband system since it debuted almost ten years ago. Now, our time has come. This week, Disneyland will see the official introduction of the MagicBand system for the first time ever. Enter the parks hands-free as you store your theme park tickets, Lightning Lane reservations, PhotoPass images, and more on your wrist. If you have a valid company-issued ID, Disney Vacation Club membership, or Magic Key pass, you have already been granted early access and can purchase your bands from select locations around the Disneyland Resort.
MagicBand+ will also unlock a new dimension of Disney storytelling, coming alive with color-changing LED lights and haptic vibrations during select park experiences and entertainment. For example, you may discover MagicBand+ adding surprising and magical touches to certain entertainment at Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure park!

At night, MagicBand+ will dazzle along with nighttime spectaculars as it illuminates and pulses in sync to special moments during āWorld of Colorā in Disney California Adventure park, āFantasmic!ā in Disneyland park and other select nighttime shows throughout the year. MagicBand+ will also interact with the two recently announced nighttime spectaculars debuting on January 27, 2023, as part of the Disney 100 Years of Wonder anniversary celebration: āWorld of Color ā Oneā at Disney California Adventure and āWondrous Journeysā at Disneyland.
