These days, Bob Chapek, Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company, seems to have a lot to answer for thanks to some of the most unpopular company decisions being made under his watch. Some Chapek may be responsible for, though many are the result of behind-the-scenes board meetings between other Disney execs who would prefer not to take the brunt of the public’s discontent.
Chapek will join Matt Murray, the Editor in Chief of The Wall Street Journal, in a live question-and-answer session at the annual Wall Street Journal Tech conference in Laguna Beach, California. The session will be held today, Wednesday, October 26th, 2022, said to be at approximately 11:25 a.m. Pacific / 2:25 p.m. Eastern.
Discussion topics on the agenda are said to include Disney’s investments in streaming, future plans for the company’s movements in the metaverse, along with corporate leadership and Disney Parks’ innovation in general.
