A man was arrested on Monday, April 6, for taking cell phone photos of young girls while at the Magic Kingdom this past November. Yanbo Jiang, 19, is a Chinese national and a freshman at Columbus State University in Georgia. Jiang bonded out of the Orange County Jail on Monday. He was charged with “two felony counts of video voyeurism” after photos of girls ages 4 to 7 were found on his phone. One photo was taken while a girl used the restroom and one was looking up a girl’s skirt.
Charges were filed by the State Attorney’s Office on February 26 and Jiang was brought to Florida from Georgia. The police report states that on November 27, a mother at the Magic Kingdom noticed him taking photos of her 4-year-old daughter, who sat on her father’s shoulders to watch the nighttime parade. She saw him stand on his toes, attempting to look down her daughter’s pants. She took him by the arm to park security.
Jiang wrote a statement, apologizing for what he had done and that he knew it was wrong. “I’ve been having this overwhelming desire to look at little girls. Today my moment of weakness made me making a decision I’ll regret for the rest of my life – give in to that desire and actually used my phone as a tool to accomplish that.”
