Three cars have been stolen from the parking lot of Aquatica, SeaWorld’s water park. Tashauna Simpson, 18, of Orlando, allegedly watched for unattended bags at the water park, then stole car keys and credit cards from them; using the car keys, she was able to find the cars they belonged to in the parking lot. Simpson was hired for a seasonal job at SeaWorld and actually drove to one of her shifts in an SUV she had stolen from a Michigan family.
Simpson is in the Orange County Jail and was charged with a variety of offenses. Police believe she used the stolen cars to aid in other crimes, such as home burglaries.
SeaWorld said, “Ensuring the safety of our guests, animals and team members is our highest priority. While we do not discuss employment details for either current or former employees, I can assure you that we took swift and appropriate action in this case.”
