Man banned from Walt Disney World after bringing a loaded gun to Epcot

A man who attempted to bring a loaded gun into Epcot has been arrested and banned from Walt Disney World. Michael C. Langston, 61, of Abita Springs, Louisiana, went through the no-bag line at the Epcot entrance and was then selected for a random screening in the metal detector. Langston then told the security officer that he was carrying a gun. A Disney supervisor and off-duty Orange County deputy were called over and they took Langston to a patrol vehicle that was parked nearby. At that time, they removed his gun, which was a “Smith & Wesson Bodyguard .380 automatic with a full six-round magazine.” The security officer who selected Langston for the metal detector said he believes that he would not have declared his weapon if he had not been chosen for the extra screening.
