Marvel Overlay for California Adventure’s Tower of Terror?

Rumors that the Tower of Terror at Disney California Adventure will get a Guardians of the Galaxy remake continue to swirl.

According to the rumor, the new attraction would be centered around the Collector character from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.

Once a decision is made in late-summer (following the opening of the Shanghai Disney Resort), the attraction would close for the extensive remake and reopen for Summer 2017, in time for the premiere of the next Guardians of the Galaxy film.

The remake of Tower of Terror would be part of a bigger plan to add Marvel to California Adventure, including a new Marvel-themed roller coaster.

Tower of Terror at Disney’s Hollywood Studios would not be affected.
