Last month, we reported that Colin Farrell is in talks to star alongside Eva Green and Danny DeVito in Tim Burton’s live-action adaptation of Disney’s classic film, Dumbo. We’re now hearing that Michael Keaton is being considered to portray the villain role in the film. In case you need a refresher, the villain was the man who acquired the circus in order to exploit the baby elephant and his mother. If Keaton accepts the role, this film would mark the pair’s first project together since 1992’s Batman Returns.
“Keaton first achieved movie stardom nearly 30 years ago in Beetlejuice. Burton then tapped him to play the Caped Crusader in Batman, putting both men on Hollywood’s A-list.” Variety also reports that “the two have been looking for a film to team up on for quite some time, including a possible Beetlejuice sequel.”
