Disney has given us a peek into the plans for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, a new attraction that’s coming to both Disneyland and Walt Disney World.
Bob Chapek, Chairman of Parks, Experiences and Products for the Walt Disney Company, announced that Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will open at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in 2020, and in Disneyland’s Toon Town in 2022. Concept art of the newly reimagined Chinese Theater in Disney’s Hollywood Studios was also shared.
In Disneyland, Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway will take place at the “El Capitoon” Theater, and guests will step through the movie screen, and right into the world of the Disney cartoon shorts.
Chapek assured the audience that the Imagineers are hard at work, and he mentioned that the attraction features a “stunning surprise twist”.
