Disneyland Resort will be the hub for the Disney100 celebration and it all kicks off on January 27, 2023. This includes festive decor, new nighttime shows, and the official debut of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland Park!
Mickey’s Toontown is still slated to be open in spring 2023, but Disney is going to have the park’s newest attraction open early to kick off the celebration. The attraction is an almost carbon copy of the ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with just a few changes.
One of the bigger changes is the queue. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway is taking place inside the El Capitan Theater instead of the Chinese Theater so the queue has a different theme. The line will be a tribute to Mickey Mouse and showcases props and memorabilia from his impressive career.
Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway takes you into a Mickey Mouse cartoon where he’s off to have the perfect picnic with Minnie Mouse. Unfortunately, Goofy is driving the train that guests ride which leads to hijinks and shenanigans in a fun, family-friendly ride.
