When discussing Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party last week, if you had asked me to place a hypothetical bet on which date would be the second to sell out for the 3-month event, I would now owe you a dollar. Just last weekend, when looking at the best ways to make your plans for this after-hours seasonal celebration, the only date that was officially sold out to all guests was, well, the obvious one, October 31st. Being Halloween night itself, this is customarily the first night to disappear from the selection menu. However, the second date to join the list has me completely puzzled.
One might assume that opening night, Friday the 9th of August, might be a popular one, with many fans, locals, and social media influencers eager to get the first look at the 2024 edition of this beloved tradition. Or, perhaps the other dates available in the week of Halloween, such as Sunday, October 27th, or Tuesday, October 29th, would be your next guess. It would seem that all of the above are incorrect, with the second most popular date of the Halloween season to sell out being an entirely odd and uneventful Tuesday, August 13th. Last week, this date was still on sale for Disney Vacation Club members.
Now, I am sure there is someone out there who can shed some light on this one for me. Perhaps some of our insiders are aware of a special sporting event or competition that will bring in the crowds around this date; I’m not really sure. One thing I can tell you is that I would have never picked that date to be the second sold-out Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party night for 2024’s Halloween party. If you know what might be driving it, let me know. Otherwise, book your tickets for your preferred party night now so you don’t miss out!
