In a fourth round of layoffs, The Walt Disney Company has let go several dozen employees at The Walt Disney Studios and 20th Century Fox, bringing the total number of people laid off to around 250 since the acquisition of 21st Century Fox by Disney.

According to Variety, this round included several key executives in the production and visual effects departments. At Fox, head of visual effects John Kilkenny, vice president of feature production Fred Baron, senior vice president of physical production Dana Belcastro, and executive vice president of post-production Fred Chandler were all let go on Tuesday.

Staffers at the Fox Research Library have been told that it will be shut down by January 6, 2020, with some of its contents folded into the Walt Disney Archives. Teams from the Disney Archives and Imagineering Research Library are currently evaluating the epic Fox collection.

Fox employees who have been laid off are saying that severance packages have been generous, with some receiving one to two years of salary.
